Mobile Sahab’s overview

It weighs 293 g, has an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display at 326 ppi, the A15 Bionic chip, Touch ID in the top button and USB-C. Released in 2021, it is an earlier generation that we still sell new and box-packed, in the 64GB Wi-Fi version.

Small, light and sharp

At 195.4 x 134.8 x 6.3 mm and 293 g, the iPad mini is easy to hold for a long read, a recipe in the kitchen or a map in the car. The 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display packs 2266 x 1488 pixels at 326 ppi, is fully laminated with an antireflective coating, and supports Wide color (P3), True Tone and 500 nits. Text looks crisp, which suits e-books, PDFs and Quran apps alike.

A15 Bionic and iPadOS 27

Apple introduced this model in 2021 and it is still sold new. Its A15 Bionic chip has a 6-core CPU (2 performance and 4 efficiency cores), a 5-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine, and Apple's iPadOS 27 page lists the iPad mini (6th generation) as compatible. Touch ID sits in the top button, and the USB-C port runs at USB 3 speeds up to 5Gb/s for quick photo transfers.

Apple Pencil on the side

Apple Pencil (2nd generation) attaches magnetically to the side to pair and charge, and Apple Pencil (USB-C) also works. That makes the mini a pocket notebook for lectures, sketches and signing documents.

Wi-Fi only, no SIM

This is the Wi-Fi model with no SIM slot, so PTA registration does not apply. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 are built in, and a phone hotspot keeps it online when you travel.

Storage, battery and box

We carry the 64GB version. There is no memory card slot, so our RAM and storage guide explains how far 64GB goes; reading, notes and streaming fit comfortably. Apple rates the 19.3 Wh battery for up to 10 hours of web on Wi-Fi or video. Apple's tech specs page lists the iPad, a USB-C Charge Cable (1 metre) and a 20W USB-C Power Adapter in the box. Boxes made for some regions leave the adapter out, so check the box contents shown on your order. The Apple 20W USB-C adapter fits it, and our chargers list more options. Chhota iPad, poora kaam.

Mobile Sahab ka verdict

The iPad mini (6th generation) is for readers, note-takers and travellers who want a real iPad that fits in one hand or a jacket pocket.
